The Living Space
The Ember offers a cozy retreat with versatile accommodations, accommodating 5 guests with a King bed, Queen bed with a twin XL bunk – an ideal setup for families, smaller groups, or honeymooners seeking an intimate escape. The modern living room exudes a rustic ambiance, featuring a spacious seating area with a 65″ TV for entertainment.
The fully equipped kitchen boasts modern conveniences, including an oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and small appliances such as a Keurig (single serve & carafe), blender, and toaster. A designated dining space compliments the kitchen, providing a comfortable area for shared meals.
Enjoy the warmth of a modern electric fireplace in the living area. Practical amenities include a laundry facility, and linens are provided for added convenience. Additionally, we ensure your comfort extends outdoors with pool and beach towels provided. The custom-designed shower completes the one full bath, adding a touch of luxury to your stay.

The highlight of the outdoor space is the enclosed plunge pool, perfect for cooler months and retractable during warmer seasons, allowing you to bask in the sun.
Discover a private fireside nook, offering a serene spot to unwind, and toast up a steaming s’more. For the adventurous, our outdoor area provides access to Bell Bottom Retreat trails, granting private hiking access to explore a suspension bridge, creeks, and endless wooded areas.
Venture to the pavilion and Bell Bottom Retreat beach, where a refreshing 4-acre lake awaits for a cooling dip or relaxation on the floating dock.
Additionally, the cabin’s outdoor area includes a captivating creek zone, offering a peaceful retreat to connect with nature.

Booking Age Requirement
The booking age requirement for Bell Bottom Retreat is 25. Valid ID is required upon check-in.
Event Type Restrictions
We do not rent our facilities for micro-weddings, after-prom, high school graduation parties, college formal parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, fraternity/sorority parties, or similar events. All events are subject to approval by management prior to confirmation of a reservation. If an above-listed event is found to be taking place, guests will be asked to leave the rental, will not receive a refund, and may incur additional cleaning/damage fees.
Additional Guests or Visitors
We do not allow ANY visitors without management approval. Only registered guests for your stay will be given access to the property. Others will be turned away. No exceptions. If unapproved visitors are found on-site, guests will be asked to leave the rental, will not receive a refund, and may incur additional cleaning/damage fees.
Damage Waiver/Deposit
In addition to rental fees, all reservations require a $500 refundable damage deposit or a non-refundable Damage Waiver. We partner with SuperHog, a trusted guest verification service, to manage this process. Deposits are typically refunded within 5–7 business days after departure, provided the property is left in its original condition.
Rate Exclusions
The nightly rate does not include Ohio Sales tax, Perry county lodging tax, credit card processing fee, or cleaning fee. All will be applied at the time of booking.
Payment
Advance payment of at least 50% of your stay is required at the time of reservation. Any balance, including the damage waiver/deposit, is due no less than 30 days prior to your stay. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted. Extra charges apply for heating of the swimming pool. Quoted prices are subject to change due to changing gas prices – please check in closer to your stay for details.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 30 days before Check-in will receive a fund of 50% of prepaid rental payment (if already paid). Cancellations made within 30 days before Check-in will NOT receive any refund of prepaid rental payment.
In the event of an early departure, we cannot give any kind of refund. There are no cancellations or refunds due to inclement weather or acts of God outside of our control. Travel insurance is recommended.

Check-In
Check-In is between 4:00PM – 8:00PM at the rental where you will be provided an entry code prior to your arrival.
Check-Out
Check-Out is by 11:00AM. Late check-out will incur a $100/hour fee. The rental should be left in the condition it was found, including dishes washed and trash bagged in the proper receptacles. Housekeeping and maintenance staff will arrive promptly at 11:00AM to begin the cleaning process and any repairs necessary.
Damages
We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any damages or excessive cleaning from your stay. If you notice any problems upon check-in, please let us know right away.
Smoking
Smoking is NOT ALLOWED inside and within 25 feet outside of the rentals. Discovery of smoking inside will result in immediate cancellation, guest removal, and additional cleaning and damage fees.
Pets
Pets are NOT ALLOWED. Discovery of a pet inside will result in immediate cancellation, guest removal, and additional cleaning and damage fees.
Occupancy Numbers
The maximum number of occupants is listed on each specific rental page. More than the maximum number of occupants present will result in cancellation, guest removal, and additional cleaning and damage fees.
Children
As a family-oriented retreat, children are welcome. Children under 12 years old must be supervised at all times.
Minimum Stay Requirement
There is a 2-night minimum stay requirement.
Pool
The pool enclosures are NOT to be operated by anyone other than Bell Bottom Retreat staff.
Furniture
At no time may furniture be moved inside or outside the rentals. We expect rentals to be left the way you found them. Glassware is NOT ALLOWED outside.
Firewood
Bundles of firewood are available for purchase at the entrance to Bell Bottom Retreat, run by our middle school boys! Cash and Venmo are accepted. Cutting down trees or branches at Bell Bottom Retreat is NOT ALLOWED.
Gas Grill
Each rental has a gas grill. Propane tanks are stocked based on the number of maximum occupants at the specific rental. However, if you need more, you can request another tank for a small fee.
Recreational Vehicles
ATVs, UTVs, side by sides, motorbikes, or similar motorized recreation vehicles are NOT ALLOWED at Bell Bottom Retreat. Discovery of these vehicles will result in cancellation, guest removal, and additional damage fees.
Weather Conditions
Winter snow in Southern Ohio can bring driving risks. Especially in the hills where there are steep driveways. We recommend you plan ahead and have 4-wheel drive capabilities if the weather deteriorates.
Water Activities, Trails, Bridges
Bell Bottom Retreat has lakes, ponds, creeks, pools and hot tubs, trails, and bridges for our guests to enjoy. However, these enhancements can have potential risk associated with them. The water enhancements are all swim at your own risk, and we require children to be supervised at all times. The trails and bridges are maintained but they are in natural settings where we cannot control the effects of falling trees or other natural occurrences that cause damage and risk. We are not responsible for any negative outcomes that may arise from participation in these enhancements.
By agreeing to these policies, guests understand and accept the terms and conditions outlined for their stay at Bell Bottom Retreat.
