Each modern cabin and luxury lodge has its own specific rates. Please visit the specific rental you are interested in to see the rates.

Policies & Cancellations

There are important policies you should know before you arrive. Please check out or our policies for The Ember Here and for The Edison Here.

The Edison:

Reservations that are cancelled less than 60 days after booking will receive a refund of the prepaid rental fee and security deposit (if already paid), less a cancellation fee of $300*. Cancellations outside of 60 days but more than 60 days prior to your stay will receive a 50% refund of the prepaid rental fee and security deposit (if already paid).

Our policy does not allow refunds for cancellations less than 60 days prior to your stay, however, we will consider these rare events on a case-by-case basis to determine if there is anything we can do to mitigate a loss for both parties. In the event of an early departure, we cannot give any kind of refund. There are no cancellations due to inclement weather. We do have a large whole house generator that automatically kicks on. There are no exceptions for medical emergencies or weather conditions. Travel insurance is recommended. Changes to the arrival or departure date are subject to our cancellation policy and/or a $125 change fee. We may cancel this reservation at any time by returning your prepaid amount.

The Ember:

Reservations that are cancelled more than two weeks prior to your stay will receive a 90% refund of the rental fees. Cancellations or reservation changes that are less than two weeks, but more than three days prior to your original arrival date will receive a 50% refund of the rental fees. There is no refund for cancellations or reservation changes that occur less than 72 hours prior to your original arrival date. In the event of an early departure, we cannot give any kind of refund. There are no cancellations or refunds due to inclement weather or acts of God outside of our control. Travel insurance is recommended.

Location & Travel Details

We are only 8 miles from State Route 33 and the local attractions of Logan, Ohio. You only drive on well-maintained State and County roads the entire way to Bell Bottom Retreat.

You may experience cell service dropping on your drive to Bell Bottom Retreat so we always suggest planning accordingly such as downloading or
screenshotting directions prior! Once you reach Bell Bottom Retreat rest assured your cell and WiFi service will be restored.

Privacy

Yes, the luxury lodges and modern cabins are strategically spaced out around 110 acres to optimize views and privacy. Even the modern cabins with driveways directly off the county road are private and quiet. There are days when only one to two vehicles drive down the road.

Guest Policy

No, we do not permit guests that are not part of the reservation, and you cannot exceed the maximum occupancy. We do monitor traffic flow in and out of the property.

Each luxury rental has a maximum occupancy rate which can be found on the specific lodge or cabin rental’s page.

Unfortunately, we can’t allow additional guests or visitors to come to see you. There is a maximum occupancy rate set for each luxury rental which can be found on the specific lodge or cabin rental’s page.

Additional guests not included in the reservation are subject to consequential fees.

Check-In / Out

Check-In is 4:00PM to 6:00PM. Late check-ins are sometimes available upon request but not guaranteed.

Check-out is by 11:00AM, no exceptions. Anything past 11:00AM will incur a fee of $100/hour. Please leave the rental in the condition in which you found it – including dishes washed and trash bagged and in proper receptacles. Management and housekeeping staff will arrive promptly at 11:00AM to begin the cleaning process.

Preparing For Your Stay

Our luxury rentals are fully furnished. However, there are a few items you should bring, including:

  • Plastic disposable cups for drinks outdoors, we do not allow glass in outdoor areas.
  • Flashlight
  • Favorite games, cards
  • Personal Electronics
  • Matches to light campfire
  • First aid kit

  • Bug spray
  • Swimsuits

All our luxury rentals are fully furnished and equipped with full size refrigerators, stove top ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, garbage disposals, toasters, crockpot, blender, Keurig coffee maker, and K cups, milk frother, cookware, dishes, glasses and cups, and silverware. We provide bed linens, bath towels, pool and hot tub towels, trash bags, paper towels and toilet paper, dish detergent, shampoo / soap.

Unlike most rentals in the area that rely on well water, we have county water which tastes just like suburbia water!

Guests can purchase pre-packaged bundles from local groceries, gas stations, and roadside vendors. Cutting down trees or branches at Bell Bottom Retreat is NOT ALLOWED.

Yes, we provide gas grills at each luxury rental with propane tanks at no additional cost to you.

Yes, and we provide you access to use them!

Yes, our pools and hot tubs are heated and designed to be used year-round at no additional cost to you.

Internet & Cellular Service

Yes, reliable WiFi is available at no additional cost. Unlike other rental organizations, we don’t rely on satellite internet which is spotty when the wind blows. We have AT&T cellular connections as well as Starlink options.

Depends on… If you have AT&T then you will be great. Verizon and others, not so much – they’re spotty. However, you can use the lodge and cabin WiFi to make calls.

Sanitation

Maintenance visits each modern cabin and luxury lodge as needed to maintain the pool and hot tub, check temperatures and to gather bagged trash. These visits take place between 6:00 AM-8:00 AM. The accommodations will be immaculately clean, especially for you, prior to your arrival. We will do everything we can to make sure everything is ready for your stay. Our goal is to provide you with the best customer service in the area so that you will become a frequent guest to our modern cabin and luxury lodge rentals.

Yes, a lot! Swim at the beach, fish in the lake; then, hike the trails and play some yard games for starters. There’s also wildlife observation areas, hammock and swing sets. Not to mention all the amenities at the modern cabins and luxury lodges you stay at!

Yes. The community beach and pavilion are a couple; plus there’s acres of fields and miles of trails you can explore. And don’t forget the massive activity center!

Yes, we just ask that you follow humane catch and release policy so that we can all enjoy the thrill of catching the “big one”.

Rental / Recreational Restrictions

No. We do not allow hunting at Bell Bottom Retreat. Additionally, discharging of firearms or other weaponry is not permitted.

No. We do not allow pets at Bell Bottom Retreat.

Wildlife / Weather Conditions

We do have our luxury rentals professionally exterminated, but it is not bug proof. Please remember you are in the forest, and that we have invaded their habitat, so chances are you will see insects and spiders. Fortunately, mosquitoes are only seen on the rarest of occasions. You most likely will encounter various woodland creatures such as deer, wild turkey, raccoons, squirrels, possums, bobcats, and you may even see a coyote. Do not leave food out at night; you may have uninvited animal guests by doing so.

Bell Bottom Retreat is open year-round. Winter is a beautiful season. Some of our driveways are steep, and we do our best to keep snow and ice removed; however, 4-wheel drive may be necessary to climb the driveway when snow and ice covered. The rentals have full house generators that will keep everything going in case of a power outage
